Their wheels are one of the few cast wheel lines that are actually Made In America. This Currie 9 Ford notch-back rear end has the stock leaf spring pads to accept the Ridetech 4-link kit. The Southwest Speed 3rd member is the perfect compliment to the Currie rear end. It comes completely assembled and ready to bolt in the Currie housing, with a 31 spline posi-trac unit, premium ring & pinion, and solid shim set. This kit comes with a 3.70 ratio gear, which is a good cruising ratio.

We have ratios from 3.50 to 5.00 that can be substituted in for no additional cost. If you would like a different ratio besides the 3.70, just make sure to request that. This allows us to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows us to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to our sales techs, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms.

Ridetech think the best way to design any component is to keep it simple. That is why Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. The new 4-axis tubing bender allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. We can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components.

Lower arms feature a unique design that combines the control and strut rod into a stronger, more appealing 1 piece design. Additional caster is designed into the arms and includes a robust bearing in an aluminum housing at the front mount to replace the soft factory rubber units. Powder-coated in a satin black finish and completely assembled with ball joints and bushings. To reduce all stiction from the suspension movement, Injection Molded Delrin Bushings are used. These bushings are also impregnated with Teflon, which eliminates the need for lubrication.

Geometry of a suspension starts with the position of the frame mounts and the height of the spindle, not the shape of the control arm. However, there are a few small things in control arm design that can make a big difference in how a vehicle drives and performs. The upper ball joint have been moved back to allow for additional caster setting to improve high speed stability and steering feel. Billet cross shafts are included that feature a lowered mounting point to increase camber gain and correct suspension geometry.

They house a stout double sheer lower shock mount. StrongArms are optimized to allow proper camber adjustment at your new lowered ride height without using a large stack of shims. The most overlooked suspension component is also one of the most important. The magic you could be missing in your suspension may be nothing more than simply adding or upgrading your sway bars! We wouldnt expect you to bolt on any suspension component that we havent thoroughly tested. We regularly use our cars in a wide range of performance driving environments, as well as plain ol highway time. Currie Centurion Housing - Classic notchback looks in a new, high-strength, American made housing, that features 3-inch diameter axle tubes, and CNC machined face flange, for a flat leak free seal - all joined together with strong attractive welds.

9-Plus notchback heavy duty housing. 31 Spline performance axle package. Built to the stock overall width (59 3/8) and pinion offset specs. 59 3/8 is measured outside-of-axle-flange to outside-of-axle-flange, in other words, where the wheel bolts on to where the wheel bolts on.

Heavy-duty 2 1/4 wide leaf spring pads are installed in the stock location. Currie billet late model Ford Torino large bearing housing ends are CNC machined for accuracy and feature provisions for internal or external axle oil seals. Housing includes all 3rd member studs installed.
